Overview and presentation of Daimler Buses. Decarbonization is in full swing and Daimler Buses will have converted its entire product portfolio to zero-emission vehicles by 2039. Already last year, more than 50% of all new registrations in the city bus segment were emission-free. Most zero-emission buses will be battery-powered in the future. What are the challenges that lie ahead? And how can we solve them?
Curriculum vitae
Mark Westendorp, born on July 16, 1977, is Head of Production Planning and Management at Daimler Buses. After studying automotive engineering at HAN University in the Netherlands and working in the automotive industry for the first time, he began his career at Daimler Buses in 2010.
From 2010 - 2017, he was Key Account Manager Public Transport in the Netherlands. At the beginning of 2017, he took over the management in Mannheim, where he ensured optimal market penetration with the TOP15 international key accounts and was appointed Head of international Key Account Management & Global Tender in 2022. During this time, he also founded the eQuotation team, which supported the European sales organization in the transition to zero-emission buses.
Mark Wes tendorp has been Head of Product Planning & Management at Daimler Buses since January 1, 2024. In this role, he is responsible for integrating market and customer requirements into the current and future global product portfolio of Daimler Buses.
