Curriculum vitae

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dipl.-Wirt.-Ing. Heiner Hans Heimes, born on August 16, 1983 in Attendorn, Germany, has been a professor and member of the institute management of the Chair of Production Engineering of E-Mobility Components (PEM) at RWTH Aachen University since 2023. In this role, he is responsible for strategic and operational management and supervises doctoral students. Since 2022, he has been lecturing at RWTH Aachen University in the field of electric drive and storage systems and is also an international guest lecturer at Tec de Monterrey in Mexico and the University of Warwick in England.

Previously, Heimes was Chief Engineer at PEM from 2019 to 2023 and Head of the Electromobility Laboratory from 2015 to 2019. His academic background includes a PhD in mechanical engineering with a dissertation on the production of lithium-ion batteries and degrees in industrial and mechanical engineering from RWTH Aachen University.
