Demand vs. readiness -
Flow batteries as energy storage on the supply scale of the future?

This presentation will examine the evolving energy storage needs of future energy systems and assess whether flow batteries can be the key to energy security. It will outline the future energy system, categorize storage scenarios, describe different types of flow batteries in detail, review global installations and discuss opportunities, challenges, scalability of production as well as current research trends and results from our own research on large-scale flow batteries.
