Shortening ageing tests by 40% through the use of AI during testing

Cell ageing tests are time-consuming and slow down development. Accurate predictions of battery state of health (SOH) are critical to estimate battery life and gain a competitive advantage. This presentation introduces an AI-based method to shorten the test duration by learning the cell degradation relationships, enabling accurate predictions for the last 20-40% of the test time. In addition, more data on the causes of aging are collected during the shortened test time.
