The Battery Regulation: requirements for performance and durability
The Battery Regulation[1] will limit the sale of batteries in the EU to sufficiently sustainable products. To this end, the regulation covers the entire life cycle of batteries, from raw material extraction through industrial production, secondary use and/or recycling to disposal. The European Commission's Joint Research Center supports the scientific development of the relevant requirements or test methods. This presentation will focus on performance and durability requirements from a technical perspective.
